We hired a true local boy for the overnight position at Sunny 105.7 FM. We wanted the best person for the job and Vinny won.
Here’s a little bit about Vinny, the baby monkey overnight guy:
My name is Vinny, the baby Capuchin Monkey. Even though I’m young (I was born on May 7th, 2007), I keep myself pretty busy. Of course, my night job is the running the controls at the Voice of Paradise from midnight until 6am.
My day job is a being the official greeter at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo!
My parents, Chi Chi and Al are long time residents of Gulf Shores. They have been living in Paradise for 17 years. I have 16 brothers and no sisters.
Some of my favorite things to do while I’m at the Zoo are to spend my days in the shade while eating grapes and Fruit Loops. I also impress all of the visitors to the Zoo with my fantastic babe magnet appeal! My favorite thing ever is all of the girls who wear perfume and then want to hug me! However, it is ironic to say that I hate it when Patti Hall, the zoo director, tries to give me a bath. Baths are for sissies.
